Description:
Gulf Craft LLC is seeking a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our finance team at our Umm Al Quwain facility. You will own cost accounting activities for yacht production, translate production data into accurate costs, and provide management with insights that improve margins and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed cost accounting records for multiple yacht models and associated production processes.
- Compare standard vs. actual costs, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve cost control.
- Monitor inventory valuation and track raw material, labour, and overhead expenses across production lines.
- Support product costing and pricing analysis, including margin assessments and profitability reviews.
- Work closely with production and procurement to identify and reduce wastage, rework, and excess material consumption.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly cost reviews and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting cycle.
- Participate in BOM validation, run cost simulations, and perform profitability modelling for new and existing products.
- Coordinate with auditors and assist with cost-related financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Deliver data-driven recommendations to management aimed at improving cost-efficiency and overall profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CMA certification is a plus.
- 4–6 years’ experience in cost accounting, ideally within manufacturing or the marine sector.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings clearly to production and senior management.
- Team player who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost controls.
