Description:
We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and controlling project costs while also overseeing all payment-related activities, including verifying contractor and supplier invoices, preparing payment certificates, and coordinating with the finance department. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid background in the building construction cost management and payment processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process the subcontractor’s payment certificates.
- Monitor and report the monthly manpower reports for ongoing projects.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flows to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Review and verify contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project milestones.
- Prepare interim and final payment certificates for subcontractors and vendors.
- Maintain accurate cost and payment documentation for project records.
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress and validate payment requests.
- Assist in the project close-out process, including final cost reconciliation and payment settlement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cost control and payments in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in preparing and processing payment certificates and verifying contractor/supplier invoices.
- Proficiency in cost control tools and software such as MS Project and Primavera scheduling.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
