Cost Controller

Description:

Hotaru Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Controller to join its Accounts & Finance team. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong understanding of cost management within the hospitality or food and beverage industry.

The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring operational costs, improving profitability, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role involves working closely with kitchen and bar operations to ensure effective cost control and minimize waste.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly stock counts across kitchens and bar operations.

• Prepare and maintain recipe costing to ensure accurate food and beverage pricing.

• Monitor supplier pricing and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

• Track inventory usage, wastage, and variances to improve operational efficiency.

• Support financial reporting by maintaining accurate cost control records.

Requirements:

• Experience in cost control, inventory management, or hospitality finance is preferred.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Ability to work accurately with stock, costing, and supplier data.

• Good organizational and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • Inventory control and stock management

    • Recipe costing and supplier price analysis

    • Food cost, waste tracking, and margin optimization
