Description:

Akshaya IT Solutions is hiring an experienced Data Engineer for a full-time onsite opportunity in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in big data technologies, data pipeline development, and cloud-based data engineering who are ready to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data storage solutions, monitoring data infrastructure, and ensuring data quality, security, and reliability. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Dubai and work onsite five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and data warehouses.

• Design and optimize scalable data storage solutions.

• Monitor data infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and availability.

• Troubleshoot production issues related to data pipelines and platforms.

• Document data pipelines, technical processes, and best practices.

• Apply data governance principles to maintain data quality, security, and compliance.

• Collaborate with the onsite Data Engineering team to deliver business solutions.

• Support continuous improvement of data engineering processes and infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

• Experience with structured and semi-structured data ingestion.

• Hands-on experience with streaming data platforms and analytics.

• Strong knowledge of Star Schema and Dimensional Data Modelling.

• Experience with big data technologies including Scala, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Shell Scripting, EMR, Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, Sqoop, and Flume/Kafka.

• Strong knowledge of Amazon Redshift, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Valid passport is mandatory.

• Willingness to relocate to Dubai and work onsite five days a week.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Immediate joiners or candidates serving a notice period of up to 30 days are preferred.
