Investment and Development Office (IDO) is the sovereign wealth fund of Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE. The fund helps drive emirate’s economic, social and cultural development to ensure a secure and stable future through strategic investments in education, real-estate, healthcare, manufacturing, tourism, logistics, mining, insurance and banking.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and innovative hands-on Data Scientist for adding to our Data and Analytics team to support the use of analytics and data science in our portfolio companies. In this role you will have the opportunity to solve complex modeling and optimization problems in multiple industries and develop and help integrate operationalizable solutions. You have strong technical background in Machine Learning and bear substantive and business/system analysis skills with a capacity and interest to learn and work in multiple domains. You are an energetic self-starter with strong moderation and communication skills.

Required:

· Experience in solving business problems using Data Science, Machine Learning, and Analytics including data exploration, problem formulation, solution development, and operationalization

· Experience and proficiency in Machine Learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow and Spark ML)

· Proficient in relational and non-relational database, in SQL, and in working with incomplete and fuzzy data sets.

· Experience in using Cloud based analytics platform such as analytics platforms such as Databricks and Dataiku

· Proficiency in Python and other programming languages.

A graduate degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or Engineering is required.
