Description:
We are seeking an accomplished, very hands on, and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial vision, brand positioning, and revenue growth of a new premier luxury hotel in Mongolia. This high-profile leadership role is instrumental in establishing the property as a flagship destination for international travelers and discerning local clientele. As this is an independent property, the Director of Sales & Marketing should know everything about Sales & marketing without having to call head office for assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic positioning of the hotel, shaping a compelling brand identity aligned with global luxury standards
- Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue, market share, and brand recognition
- Oversee all sales segments including leisure, corporate, MICE, and high-net-worth individual markets
- Spearhead innovative marketing campaigns, digital presence, partnerships, and PR initiatives targeting key international and regional markets
- Ensure exceptional quality of execution across all commercial functions, with a strong focus on follow-through and measurable performance outcomes
- Identify and implement new revenue opportunities, including luxury experiences and bespoke offerings
- Lead the development, launch, or enhancement of a high-end private club or membership program within the hotel or affiliated lifestyle platforms
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering accountability and collaboration
- Work closely with Rooms, F&B, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with overall guest experience and operational excellence
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, travel advisors, agencies, and corporate clients across Asia and globally
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing within the luxury hospitality sector
- Proven track record of success in Asia, with deep understanding of regional markets and luxury consumer behavior
- Demonstrated experience in launching or managing a high-end private club or membership program within a hospitality or lifestyle environment
- Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset and hands-on approach to execution
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative working style across departments
- Creative thinker with the ability to introduce innovative ideas and translate them into actionable strategies
- High attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to excellence in performance
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean are highly advantageous
