Skills Required
- Experience in an Agile environment is a plus, but not necessary
- Demonstrated Knowledge and experience Using Microsoft technology stacks including:
- VB6 development and analysis
- Experience with .NET Framework
- Solid working knowledge of SQL 2017, with a demonstrated ability to code queries of varying complexity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a flair for creating innovative solutions
Nice to have
- Insurance industry experience, preferably from an Insurer or commercial broker perspective
- Experience with Visual Studio 2017/2019/Code IDE
- Proficiency with C#, .Net Core, API's
- Proficiency with Web Services and Web Technologies
- Experience with the migration process from VB6
Responsibilities & Duties
- Produces detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods, and tools
- Designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools
Education and Experience
3 to 5 years’ experience in software development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
