Description:
Selex is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Electrical Specification Engineer for a full-time, on-site position at our Dubai office.
The Electrical Specification Engineer will work closely with consultants, developers, and contractors to ensure Selex products are successfully specified in project designs. This includes providing technical support, preparing specification documents, ensuring compliance with standards, and recommending suitable products based on project needs.
The role involves conducting technical presentations, building relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting the sales team with technical insights to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, developers, and contractors to specify Selex products in project designs.
- Provide technical support and recommendations tailored to project requirements.
- Prepare and update technical specifications, datasheets, and related documentation.
- Deliver technical presentations, meetings, and product demonstrations.
- Ensure all specifications comply with relevant industry standards and certifications.
- Support the sales team with project information, technical clarifications, and documentation needs.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor specifications, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Specification Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role in the electrical or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring devices, lighting, or related product categories.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project drawings and technical documents.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Must have a valid UAE Driving License.
- Arabic language proficiency is a strong plus.
- Previous Middle East specification experience is an advantage.
