This top tier firm is looking to further build its exemplary Employment Group in the UAE. Working closely with a multi-partner team led out of Dubai, the key objective is to add further strength and depth by bringing on board an Associate or SA level individual with experience across discrimination and C-suite terminations and similar with a mix of contentious and non-contentious work on offer.

The firm offers its clients outstanding quality of expertise, with a cohort of partners invested in developing the next generation of up and coming talent. The work they do includes acting for private businesses and blue-chip clients on transactions that shape the markets within which the firm operates.

Culture: The firm is well regarded and is global but not just in terms of dots on the map. You will collaborate with colleagues across the globe and from other complementary practice groups to support on major corporate deals and reorganisations.

Employment Lawyer Role: The international client base at this firm has significant demand for further support for its cross border Employment practice, so this is a unique development opportunity for a returnee or relocator at the mid associate or senior associate level or above with a strong background within termination, claims, discrimination and whistleblowing.

Specifically, the ideal Employment Lawyer would have:

  • a strong background within Employment Law ideally with exposure to matters with multiple jurisdictions
  • mid to senior level experience gained within an Employment team in the US, UK, Aus, NZ or other major overseas markets within a leading law firm
  • around 3-7 years’ PQE for this role, not intended to be restrictive. Strong opportunity for progression in the future for a talented star due to regional and team growth
  • strong negotiation skills and a track record of working on contentious (terminations, discrimination claims and so on) alongside non-contentious (e.g. demonstrated track record of negotiations and similar)
