Description:
Parsons is seeking a QA/QC Materials Engineer (Stormwater & Infrastructure) to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi.
In this role, you will support major stormwater infrastructure works, including pump stations and utility networks, by ensuring effective implementation of QA/QC processes across site activities. The position focuses on materials compliance, inspections, testing, documentation, and close coordination with contractors and supervision teams to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Implement the project Quality Management System and approved Quality Plans in coordination with the Resident Engineer and QA/QC Lead.
- Review contractor submittals, including method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and inspection requests; coordinate site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Verify material submittals, source approvals, mix designs, and compliance certificates; ensure full traceability through delivery inspections and testing records.
- Monitor sampling and testing activities conducted by contractors and third-party laboratories to ensure adherence to approved standards.
- Identify, log, and track non-conformances; support timely closure through verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records and support documentation required for project handover and compliance reporting.
- Prepare quality updates and progress inputs for supervision reporting.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure consistent application of QA/QC and HSE requirements across all activities.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or MEP (or equivalent Engineering degree).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in QA/QC and materials management on infrastructure projects, preferably stormwater or utilities.
- ADM/DMT engineering license or approval.
- Strong understanding of construction specifications, standards and quality documentation practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting/record management systems.
