Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for a skilled Engineer with expertise in estimation, forensics/ investigation, and engineering to contribute to the success of our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, timelines, and resource requirements, as well as providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. The Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are estimated and delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands technical and concrete deterioration issues. Basic understanding of repair and strengthening techniques.
  • Understands standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimation.
  • Familiar with major regulations and industry codes and standards for structures design and construction.
  • Familiar with standard materials and methods of construction.
  • Can prepare parts of project documents.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and resource allocations, to present to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and update project estimates throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting as necessary based on changes in scope, requirements, or market conditions. Understands standard contract requirements and scope as they relate to work.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams during planning, execution, and closeout phases.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate the accuracy of estimates and identify lessons learned for future improvements.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in estimation methodologies to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, demonstrating effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project engineering with a focus on estimation, ideally in concrete repair.
  • Strong proficiency in estimation techniques, methodologies, and software tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges and obstacles.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are a plus.
