English Translators

Description:

We have recently seen a large increase in volumes we receive for Portuguese to English translation projects. We are therefore looking for freelance translators who translate, post-edit and review documents from Portuguese to English in the field of pharmacovigilance and have at least 2 years' full-time translation experience.

The work is carried out in SDL Trados Studio (2017 and above) so experience with this CAT tool is desirable, but not essential.

We are interested in applicants who are keen to establish a regular and collaborative working relationship with us. RWS’s freelance translators have the unique opportunity to work closely with our in-house translators and benefit from their support and localisation experience.

Main requirements:

• Native speaker of the target language(s) and fluent in English
• You must be specialised in the Medical/Life Sciences/Pharma area with specialisms in pharmacovigilance
• Experience proofreading texts in these areas preferred but not essential
• A Bachelor degree in Translation or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing translations for the life sciences industry
• CAT & Office tools experience
• A team player and enjoy working in an international environment
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
