5 Capitals has an opening for a talented Environmental & Social Consultant with between 5 and 10 years’ experience to join an exceptional team working with world class clients on amazing projects.
Key attributes for success include:
- Ability to manage and author large scale Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), environmental monitoring and undertaking baseline surveys for large scale projects in the power, water, infrastructure and industrial fields.
- Particular experience with the Equator Principles (EP), IFC PS and other multi-lateral FI requirements for project finance would be a distinct advantage (e.g. EBRD, ADB, AfDB).
- Our team is diverse and from different backgrounds, you should have the desire to share your experience send support the current team by providing guidance and mentoring as and when required. The ability to develop strong internal and external relationships is a key attribute.
- Ability to demonstrate technical leadership, coordination, technical review and direction on projects. Thought leadership is encouraged.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with clients and regulatory authorities.
- Strong Project Management skills including the ability to manage financial performance, sub-consultants and external experts as well as the ability to interact with clients, regulators and lenders alike.
- Experience in preparing, managing tender and proposal submissions and the desire to seek new work opportunities.
- Strong written English is a must, Arabic speaking or other languages would be an advantage.
- The role will likely include travel within the MENA Region, Sub Saharan Africa, Central Europe and SE Asia.
