Description:
We are seeking an Estimation & Procurement Engineer responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing procurement activities for construction and fit-out projects. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure competitive pricing, timely material procurement, and cost-effective project execution in line with company standards and UAE construction practices.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and detailed project cost estimates.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate cost assessments.
- Prepare tender submissions, quotation proposals, and cost comparison sheets.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost control, and forecasting during execution.
- Maintain records of historical cost data, supplier rates, and project pricing.
Procurement
- Manage procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare purchase orders, procurement schedules, and material submittals.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support project timelines.
- Track orders, monitor delivery status, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Coordinate with site teams and project managers on material requirements and schedules.
- Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in construction estimation, quantity surveying, or procurement.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel; experience with estimating software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of BOQ preparation, tendering procedures, and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards is preferred.
