Facade Designer

We’re looking for a Facade Designer to join Skytop Engineering.

Skytop Engineering is an international facade engineering and consultancy practice working on projects across the UK, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Our clients include leading architects, developers and facade contractors.

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are expanding our engineering team and are looking for experienced facade designers who want to work on complex international projects. Experience is essential for this role. We are specifically interested in candidates who come from one of two professional backgrounds:

• those who have worked with facade contractors in the UK, particularly on Stage 4 and Stage 5.
• those who have worked on early stages of facade consultancy, collaborating with architects and developers on concept, scheme and design development for projects in the Middle East.

The role involves working on a wide range of building envelope systems. Strong technical capability is important. Strong AutoCAD skills are required. Experience with Revit is highly valued, as well as the ability to work with technical documentation and engineering calculations in accordance with European, British or American standards. Experience with thermal or structural assessment of facade systems is also a significant advantage.
