Description:
Field Engineer - Telecommunications
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site surveys, installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for telecom equipment and network infrastructure.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to: Survey Reports, SID (Site Installation Document), NRM (Network Resource
- Management) – Inventory, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and hardware logs, ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) – BOQ verification, serial numbers, passive connectivity, and test logs and Delivery Notes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and client representatives to ensure project alignment.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of project progress and field activities.
- Comply with safety and operational standards in power-sensitive environments.
- Work on a 24/7 rotational schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
- Telecommunications Industry Experience is mandatory with familiarity with telecom network topologies and passive infrastructure components.
- Strong skills in technical documentation and adherence to project documentation standards.
- Experience working with subcontractors and field teams across multiple sites.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory / documentation tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; Proven ability to work independently and solve on-site technical problems in real time.
