Firewall Specialist

 

Description:

The firewall specialist job involves managing the network and security platforms like perimeter firewall, Load balancer, WAF, NAC etc. The specialist should be the primary contact for any technical assistance and track all the issues.

Management and resolution of security related incidents, changes and problems to Support on Firewalls and network security solutions.

Function:

• Provide Incident management and Problem management.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting to isolate technical faults .

• Provide mentorship to 1st Level Engineers to develop technical awareness and meet objectives for certifications

• Implementation and management of Perimeter firewalls and network security technologies like NAC, XDR etc

• Possess thorough understanding of our service offerings, technical preferences and technical direction

• Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations, clearly articulates ideas and thoughts verbally or through mail

 

Qualifications

Industry Knowledge:

• Minimum 5-7 years of related experience

• Having prior technical (Security VPN/Firewalls & Networking LAN/WAN) experience is an advantage

• Having prior experience in Security Level 2 support

• Technical experience preferably with the following domain knowledge -

o Security (Firewalls, VPN)

o Remote Access Service

• Knowledge of any of the following security services will be added advantage

o Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, Nortel,Palo Alto, Fortinet etc

• Should have exposure to ITIL, proven client focused skills, ability to ascertain priority levels

• Ability to use Microsoft applications, Word, Excel and Outlook

• Ability to work in an international & multi-cultural environment

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to prioritise & multitask

• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to relate and interact effectively at all levels

• Good communication skills both written and verbal.

• Excellent client service skills and client facing skills

• Experience in mentoring subordinates

• Flexible and adaptable to meet the teams needs

• Excellent English speaking, writing and comprehension of both written and verbal English
