General Accountant

JLX International, a growing and dynamic organization, is seeking a General Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai, UAE. This full-time role is ideal for a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional looking to advance their career in a challenging and rewarding environment.

The General Accountant will be responsible for handling a broad range of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, be proficient in accounting tools such as QuickBooks, and demonstrate strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals who are part-qualified in ACCA or hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, and have solid UAE-based experience. Immediate joiners are preferred, making this a fast-track opportunity to contribute to an established team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.

• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.

• Conduct variance analysis and report on financial discrepancies.

• Maintain compliance with internal policies and UAE regulatory standards.

• Utilize accounting software (particularly QuickBooks) for efficient transaction processing and reporting.

• Support the audit process by providing timely and accurate documentation.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and timely payments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. A Master's degree or part-qualified ACCA is a strong advantage.

• 3 to 5 years of UAE accounting experience in a similar role.

• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
