General Accountant

Description:

We are seeking an experienced General Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in Dubai. This role is responsible for managing complete accounting operations and supporting statutory and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in UAE-based accounting environments, particularly within contractor or subcontractor settings.

The General Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting activities, assist with VAT and Corporate Tax processes, and ensure accurate month-end closing. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working with ERP systems and standard accounting tools while supporting financial reporting and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations and financial transactions
• Support VAT filings and Corporate Tax compliance activities
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
• Work closely with internal teams to support financial reporting
• Use ERP systems and MS Office tools for accounting and analysis

Requirements:

• 6 to 8 years of overall accounting experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the UAE
• Prior experience in contractor or subcontractor environments
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE regulations
