General Accountant

Description:

Operon Middle East is looking to hire a motivated and detail-focused General Accountant to become part of its expanding Finance Department. This role is well suited for entry-level professionals or recent graduates who are eager to build a solid foundation in accounting while working in a structured and supportive finance environment.

The selected candidate will be involved in daily accounting operations and will assist the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records while supporting reporting and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily accounting transactions and handle routine bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist with monthly closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and review balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Verify expense entries to ensure correct account classification and accuracy.
• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with audit and internal control requirements.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance is required.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates within the UAE are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Strong Excel skills are considered an added advantage.
• High attention to detail with a proactive learning mindset.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently within set timelines.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with team members.
