General Accountant

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to become part of a dynamic team within the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle accounting operations efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconstruct and prepare books of accounts for the past five years using available financial data

• Examine and validate financial documents such as ledgers, tax records, supporting documents, and customs-related paperwork

• Manage complete general accounting processes, including preparation of Trial Balance (TB)

• Ensure all financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations

• Maintain organized documentation and support audits or financial reviews when required

Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks efficiently with a high level of accuracy and minimal supervision

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a UAE Freezone environment is preferred

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Prior hands-on experience with inventory management

• Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation

• Familiarity with Dubai VAT regulations

• Experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Trade Finance will be highly preferred
