General Accountant

Description:

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven Accountant to join our growing floral business in the Dubai.

This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping — we need someone who can manage complete financial operations, optimize processes, improve cash flow, and support the financial growth of a fast-paced floral and e-commerce business.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting operations

• Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

• Handle VAT & Corporate Tax filing and compliance

• Manage accounts payable & receivable

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for payments and negotiations

• Reconcile e-commerce payouts, POS systems, bank statements, and financial records

• Monitor cash flow and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations

• Maintain proper inventory costing and reporting for floral products and operations

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3–4 years of accounting experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or floral/FMCG businesses

• Strong knowledge of Dubai VAT & Corporate Tax regulations

• Experience with platforms such as Shopify, Talabat, Deliveroo, Instashop, Amazon, WooCommerce, etc.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho Books

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

• CPA/CMA certification is an advantage
