General Accountant

Description:

Paramount Zone is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with UAE accounting experience who possess strong financial knowledge and are capable of managing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts, supporting VAT compliance, and preparing financial reports. Applicants with experience in consultancy or service-based industries and multi-company accounting environments will have an added advantage. Candidates who are available to join immediately or within 15 days are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Prepare and process invoices, monitor collections, and manage payment transactions.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Support VAT filing processes and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.

• Prepare basic financial reports and assist with routine financial analysis.

• Maintain organized accounting documentation and ensure data accuracy.

• Coordinate with internal departments to support smooth financial operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of accounting experience within the United Arab Emirates.

• Mandatory knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.

• Experience using Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.

• Immediate availability or a notice period of up to 15 days is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable processes.

    • UAE VAT compliance, financial reporting, and bank reconciliation.

    • Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a consultancy or service-based industry.

• Exposure to multi-company accounting environments.
