Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced General Lawyer (Arabic Speaker) with 7–10 years of proven legal practice, ideally from a reputable UAE-based law firm. The successful candidate must have strong expertise in UAE laws and regulations, with in-depth experience in handling court proceedings and litigation. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential, alongside the ability to represent the company and liaise effectively with government authorities, courts, free zones, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, labor, civil, and regulatory matters in the UAE.
- Represent the company in UAE courts (First Instance, Appeal, and Cassation), arbitration centers, and other legal proceedings.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing evidence, and attending court hearings.
- Ensure compliance with court procedures, filing requirements, and deadlines in coordination with court clerks and legal authorities.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in both Arabic and English.
- Liaise with government authorities, free zone entities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with UAE laws.
- Conduct legal research and keep management updated on changes in UAE legislation and judicial practices.
- Support internal teams with dispute resolution, compliance reviews, and corporate governance matters.
- Prepare legal reports, case updates, and official correspondence in Arabic and English.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized university; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Licensed to practice law in the UAE or in the home jurisdiction with substantial UAE litigation experience.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both spoken and written) is mandatory.
- 7–10 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in UAE-based law firms.
- Demonstrated expertise in UAE court systems, litigation procedures, and court filing requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of UAE Civil, Commercial, and Labor Laws, including free zone regulations.
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience advising multinational or regional companies is preferred.
