Geotechnical Inspector

Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Geotechnical Inspector to join our team! In this role you will inspect earthworks and ground improvement activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and HSE requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

• Inspect excavation, backfilling, earthworks, filling/reclamation, compaction and foundation preparation.
• Witness and review geotechnical field/lab tests (e.g., FDT, CBR, SPT, DCP, PLT) and confirm results meet acceptance criteria.
• Monitor ground improvement works (e.g., vibro compaction, stone columns, deep soil mixing, grouting) and verify quality records.
• Maintain daily reports/diary, IRs, NCRs and close-out documentation; follow up corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the RE/Geotechnical Engineer, contractor teams, survey, materials and testing laboratories.
  
   

What Required Skills You’ll Bring
 

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years inspection experience with major infrastructure projects experience.
• Ability to read drawings/specifications and produce clear site reports.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong communication and teamwork.
