One of our prestigious clients is seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to oversee our bakery kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for French pastry and bakery, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create exceptional and authentic French baked goods.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the bakery kitchen, including production schedules, inventory, and quality control.
- Develop and create new French pastry and bakery recipes while maintaining traditional favorites.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Monitor food costs and budgeting, maintaining profitability while upholding quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, promotions, and special events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Pastry Chef in a French bakery or patisserie.
- In-depth knowledge of French baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Creative and innovative approach to developing new recipes and product offerings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of kitchen management best practices and food cost controls.
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or relevant field preferred.
