Description:

Hampton Heights International School in Al Twar, Dubai, is hiring a highly experienced and qualified Head of English for Years 2 to 7 for the upcoming academic year 2025–2026. This leadership role is ideal for a native English speaker with a strong background in teaching and leading within UK curriculum schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the English department for Years 2 to 7, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

• Develop curriculum plans aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum and ensure effective implementation.

• Guide the preparation and administration of GL Assessments, Cambridge Checkpoint exams, and IGCSE standards.

• Contribute to school improvement planning and the preparation of School Evaluation Forms (SEF) in line with KHDA expectations.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and provide professional development to teaching staff.

• Monitor student progress, analyze data, and ensure curriculum alignment with best practices.

Requirements:

• Native English speaker educated in the UK, South Africa, Australia, or the EU.

• Master’s degree in English.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching experience.

• Proven experience as an Assistant Head or Coordinator in a UK curriculum school in Dubai.

• Strong understanding of KHDA inspection frameworks and SEF development.

• In-depth knowledge of the Cambridge International Curriculum and Assessment.

• Familiarity with GL Assessments, Cambridge Checkpoint exams, and IGCSE standards.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
