Description:

We are looking for an experienced Home Healthcare Coder to join CODELAB’s Abu Dhabi team. The ideal candidate will specialize in outpatient and home-care coding, carefully reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate ICD-10-AM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in line with Department of Health (Abu Dhabi) and payer rules to support timely and accurate claims processing.

Responsibilities:

• Review clinical records for home healthcare and outpatient services (nursing notes, physiotherapy, physician encounters, etc.).
• Assign correct ICD-10-AM, CPT and HCPCS codes while ensuring documentation supports coding decisions.
• Ensure coding and documentation comply with DOH guidelines and insurer requirements.
• Support claims submission processes, work to reduce denials, and help maintain efficient revenue cycle flows.
• Liaise with physicians and clinical staff to obtain clarifications and improve documentation quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Certified coder credentials (CPC, CCS) required.
• 2–3 years of practical coding experience within the Abu Dhabi healthcare framework, specifically with outpatient and homecare cases.
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-AM, CPT, HCPCS and DOH regulations.
• Attention to detail, good communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with clinical teams.
