HR Supervisor – Job DescriptionJob Summary

The HR Supervisor oversees daily human resources operations and supports the execution of HR strategies. This role is responsible for leading HR staff, managing core HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and driving employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership

  • Supervise and guide HR staff, ensuring high performance, productivity, and continuous development.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor workloads, and provide coaching and feedback.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Partner with department heads to plan workforce needs and succession planning.
  • Maintain talent pipelines and employer branding initiatives.

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Manage exit processes, including exit interviews, clearance, and final settlements.

Employee Relations

  • Address employee grievances, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and ensure fair treatment of employees.
  • Advise managers on disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.

Performance Management

  • Support and monitor performance appraisal cycles.
  • Guide managers on setting KPIs, conducting evaluations, and managing underperformance.
  • Coordinate training, development, and career progression plans.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee incentives.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in compensation practices.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Handle audits, inspections, and legal documentation.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external training programs.
  • Support leadership development and employee skill enhancement initiatives.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain employee records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Oversee HRIS data accuracy and reporting.
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports (turnover, absenteeism, headcount, etc.).

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Promote employee wellbeing programs and compliance with safety regulations.

Engagement & Culture

  • Organize employee engagement activities, surveys, and feedback initiatives.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and HRIS systems such as ADP, Workday, or SAP.
