Information Technology Engineer

 

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user requirements. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in networking, hardware, software, and IT security practices and capable of managing both on-site and remote support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment.

 

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.

 

Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, availability, and reliability.

 

Maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and access control policies.

 

 

Configure and manage printers, scanners, VOIP phones, and other peripherals.

 

Administer Office 365, email configurations, and cloud applications.

 

Conduct regular system backups and recovery testing.

 

 

Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and asset inventory.

 

Support users on-site and remotely across different locations, if required.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

 

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT support or system/network engineer role.

 

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking concepts.

 

Hands-on experience with switches, routers, firewalls (preferably Fortinet/Cisco/SonicWall).

 

Familiarity with IT security practices, backup systems, and ITIL concepts.

 

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

 

Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
