Description:
They are currently seeking a commercially driven and entrepreneurial individual to join as International Sales & Distribution, Marketing Manager. This is a high-impact role focused on driving market expansion and business development across select territories. The position will start as an individual contributor and is expected to evolve into a leadership role as the business scales.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement effective sales and market entry strategies across key territories such as East Africa, South Africa, and South Asia
- Identify and secure new customers, distributors, and institutional buyers in alignment with the company’s go-to-market plans
- Manage full-cycle sales execution, including lead generation, negotiations, deal closure, and post-sales follow-ups
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global sourcing partners and ensure competitive, timely procurement from key production origins
- Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to support commercial decision-making
- Oversee distribution and logistics planning to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations, marketing, and finance teams to support overall business success
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagements across focus markets
- Prepare periodic reports and business updates for senior management review
- As the business scales, recruit, train, and lead a high-performing regional sales and distribution team
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Business, International Marketing, Agriculture or related discipline
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in international sales and trading, preferably within the agri-input or bulk commodities sectors
- Strong track record of business development across emerging markets including East Africa, South Africa, and South Asia
- Deep market knowledge and active network within global sourcing and supplier ecosystems
- Commercially driven with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Willing to travel frequently across regions to manage and grow the business
