Vacancy Announcement: IT Support / IT Officer

Gulf Model School in Dubai is seeking a proactive, reliable, and service-oriented IT Support / IT Officer to manage daily technical support activities and assist with the smooth operation of the school’s IT systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring uninterrupted teaching and learning by providing timely technical assistance to staff and students.

The ideal candidate will support core school IT functions, including biometric enrolment systems, ID card management, classroom technology, and digital learning platforms, while working closely with the IT Manager to maintain system efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level IT support to teachers, administrative staff, and school management.
• Assist with staff and student biometric enrolment, updates, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support ID card printing, replacements, and access-related issues.
• Maintain and support classroom technology, including smart boards, laptops, printers, and projectors.
• Assist with network connectivity, system access, and basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support for online classes, digital platforms, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate IT inventory and asset records.
• Coordinate with the IT Manager on system maintenance, updates, and improvements.
• Ensure quick resolution of IT issues to minimize disruption to teaching and learning activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an IT support role; school experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with biometric systems and ID card processes is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of networking, hardware, and school-based technology systems.
• Strong communication skills with a helpful and service-focused attitude.
