Description:
A Cyber security vendor, based in Dubai is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. As part of your role, you will maintain positive supplier relations, evaluate supply options, approve purchases, and maintain accurate records.

The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement of IT equipment and software, as well as maintaining a library of all current contracts and agreements. This position will also serve as the primary point of contact for vendors who sell or provide consulting services to our client.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and work with business stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Identify new vendor profiles to streamline the buying process and the selection of items for purchase.
- Manage the order process: requisitions from all departments/business units, handle requests for quotes, process purchase requisitions, negotiation, provide orders to suppliers, maintain adequate records of purchases, follow up on orders/approvals and resolve issues with invoice/receipt discrepancies.
- Develop sourcing strategies to optimise total cost of ownership, improve supplier performance, and reduce risk within the category.
- Manage and negotiate contracts, maximise commercial value, and flexibility and minimise the risk of IT Sourcing/vendor engagement.
- Drive cost reduction efforts.
Required:
- Degree in accounting, business management or a similar field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
