It Support Specialist

Description:

A leading technology and manufacturing group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks, while providing hands-on technical assistance to internal teams. This role plays a key part in supporting an advanced additive manufacturing and 3D printing environment, combining technical expertise with operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime

• Maintain IT systems, servers, and network components to ensure stability, performance, and reliability

• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software, including tools used in high-tech manufacturing environments

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, including antivirus, firewalls, and data protection measures

• Support users with specialized 3D printing and additive manufacturing software, ensuring smooth system integration

• Prepare IT documentation and provide training to employees on IT tools and systems

• Track and manage IT assets, including hardware devices and software licenses

• Recommend technology upgrades and system improvements to enhance efficiency and operational performance

Requirements:

• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues

• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and network protocols

• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection

• Experience in hardware installation, system configuration, and IT maintenance

• Ability to support advanced technology environments such as additive manufacturing

• Experience in manufacturing or technology-driven environments is a strong advantage
