Junior Accountant

Description:

A reputable vessel-owning company operating in multiple maritime segments including vessel chartering, vessel agency services, vessel management, cabotage, fuel terminal operations, and fuel logistics is actively seeking a competent Junior Accountant to join their team in Dubai.

This role is designed for a motivated accounting professional with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience who will be responsible for managing payables, preparing vessel cost reports, controlling and reporting on fuel terminal stock, and coordinating effectively with various stakeholders involved in the business operations.

The Junior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth financial operations related to maritime activities, and supporting the finance team with detailed reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes ensuring timely and accurate payments.

• Prepare detailed vessel cost reports for management review.

• Oversee fuel terminal stock control and generate accurate stock reports.

• Liaise and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders as required to support financial and operational activities.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within maritime, logistics, or related industries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting software/tools.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.

• Energetic, detail-oriented, highly organized, with a quick learning ability.

• Positive "can-do" attitude and readiness to take ownership of assigned tasks.

• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
