Junior Accountant

Description:

We are hiring a Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is well-suited for a motivated accounting professional who is eager to gain hands-on experience and grow within a structured and supportive work environment.

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts and handling daily accounting entries. The role includes assisting with accounts payable and receivable processes, preparing invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

Additional responsibilities include supporting bank reconciliations, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with VAT documentation and filings in accordance with UAE regulations. The candidate will also ensure proper organization, filing, and documentation of financial records while coordinating with auditors and internal departments when required.

The position involves active participation in month-end and year-end closing activities, offering exposure to real-time accounting operations and practical financial reporting processes.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (UAE experience is an advantage)
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Effective communication skills in English
