Junior Accountant

Marquis Developers is currently looking to hire a Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who has gained initial experience in UAE-based accounting practices and is looking to further develop their career in a dynamic corporate environment.

The selected candidate will assist in handling day-to-day accounting operations while supporting the finance department with financial record management and transaction processing. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and familiarity with UAE VAT regulations.

In this position, the Junior Accountant will work closely with the finance team to manage accounts payable processes, ensure accurate invoice processing, and maintain organized financial documentation. The role also requires proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills to assist with financial tracking and reporting tasks.

Candidates who are currently available in the UAE and ready to join immediately will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) processes including invoice verification and processing.
• Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and supplier payments.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and accounting reports when required.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company accounting policies.
• Record financial data accurately in accounting software systems.
• Assist the finance team with reconciliations and routine accounting tasks.
• Maintain organized records for audits and financial documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience within the UAE.
• Experience handling Accounts Payable and invoice processing.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Tally or Odoo.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
