Junior Accountant

Description:

Marquis Developers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing team in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with prior UAE accounting experience who are looking to support daily financial operations and contribute to the company’s accounting and reporting functions.

The Junior Accountant will assist in managing accounts payable, invoice processing, and VAT compliance, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely financial transactions. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the skills necessary to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) activities including invoice processing and vendor payments.
• Assist with VAT compliance and preparation of related documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and perform basic reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing processes and generate reports as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth accounting operations.
• Utilize accounting software such as Tally or Odoo and maintain spreadsheets in Excel.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of accounting experience within the UAE.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and invoice handling.
• Understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Tally, Odoo, or equivalent).
• B.Com graduate with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
• Candidates available to join immediately will be preferred.
