Junior Accountant

Description:

Govvin Accounting LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Junior Accountant to join its growing remote accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals who have practical experience with Zoho Books and are looking to build their expertise in UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance, and financial reporting.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and contribute to compliance-related activities. This role offers valuable exposure to UAE VAT and Corporate Tax environments while working within a professional and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions using Zoho Books.

• Process sales invoices, purchase bills, expense vouchers, and journal entries.

• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when required.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

• Reconcile customer accounts and supplier balances.

• Assist with monthly closing activities and financial report preparation.

• Support VAT calculations and VAT return preparation.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.

• Assist senior accountants with audits, financial reviews, and client-related requirements.

• Maintain organized filing systems and document management procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

• 1–2 years of accounting experience.

• Practical hands-on experience with Zoho Books.

• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting entries.

• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and VAT return preparation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
