Junior System Engineer

Go Ahead Consulting is seeking a Junior System Engineer to join its team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should currently be based in the UAE and have practical experience in system administration, infrastructure support, and platform operations.

The selected candidate will assist with maintaining technology platforms, supporting cloud environments, and ensuring smooth system operations. This role provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers while gaining exposure to modern infrastructure technologies and enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily system administration and infrastructure operations.

• Assist with Microsoft Azure and Linux/Unix environment management.

• Provide operational support for Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platforms.

• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and support incident resolution.

• Follow structured Incident Management and Change Management processes.

• Participate in shift schedules and on-call support activities with senior engineers.

• Assist with basic scripting and automation tasks.

• Support monitoring and troubleshooting using infrastructure management tools.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in system administration, infrastructure support, or platform operations.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Linux/Unix administration.

• Exposure to Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in a support or operations capacity.

• Experience working with Incident Management and Change Management processes.

• Willingness to participate in shifts or on-call rotations.

• Candidate must be currently available in the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Cloud infrastructure and system administration.

• Kubernetes, Azure services, and Linux/Unix environments.

• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch.

• Basic shell scripting.

• Preferred:

• Experience with banking, core banking, payment, wallet, or other regulated transactional platforms.

• AZ-104, CKA, equivalent certification, or willingness to work towards certification.
