Lathe And Threading Machinist

TripleFast Middle East Ltd is searching for an experienced lathe and threading machinist to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has over 10 years of experience in the fastener industry. You will be able to operate a variety of machines, including conventional lathe and threading, in accordance with required competencies and knowledge, manufacturers’ operating instructions, and in accordance with TripleFast Middle East’s QHSE policies. You will ensure that the required products requested in work orders are manufactured and delivered within the specified time frame and meet quality standards.

Job responsibilities:

• Be responsible for quick, accurate and efficient set up of machines in accordance with manufacturers’ operating instructions in order to accomplish the required job laid down in a Work Order, utilising the materials which accompany the Work Order
• Study and interpret drawings, specifications and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
• Detect machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machines within their capabilities as required
• Be responsible for the on-time manufacture and production of quality parts produced on lathe and threading machines
• Produce quality parts and ensure machines and programmes operate correctly
• Visually check cutting tools and materials before commencing the work, replacing the tools from stores and reporting any defect in the materials to the Workshop Supervisor where appropriate
• Coordinate with QC Inspector after the completion of the works
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials

Required skills and knowledge:

• Demonstrate an advanced skills level on a variety of machines types
• QC experience in dimensional check - precision measuring
• Good communication skills in English
• Basic mathematics skills
• Machining knowledge

Required experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience operating lathe and threading machines
