Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Analysis:
Conduct legal research on various issues, including corporate law, contracts, intellectual property, and other related topics.
Assist in analyzing legal documents and interpreting relevant laws and regulations in the UAE and internationally.
Prepare summaries or briefs of legal precedents and legal articles for the CLO.
Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, memoranda, LOI, and other corporate legal paperwork.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations on legal matters for senior management and other departments.
Maintain organized records of legal documents, case files, and contracts.
Ensure all legal documents are properly filed, archived, and accessible when needed.
Assist in the preparation of documents for litigation, arbitration, or other legal proceedings.
Act as a liaison between the CLO and other departments within the organization.
Coordinate with external law firms, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders on legal matters.
Handle routine inquiries and follow up on pending legal issues.
Contract Administration:
Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts.
Monitor key dates related to contract renewals, expirations, and obligations.
Help ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Help ensure the organization complies with local laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards in the UAE.
Assist in the implementation of internal policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
Manage calendars and schedule meetings for the CLO.
Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and take minutes when necessary.
Handle confidential legal matters with discretion and professionalism.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution Support:
Provide assistance in litigation-related matters, including managing case files, scheduling, and document production.
Work with external law firms to monitor the progress of ongoing cases or disputes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related field (preferably from a recognized institution).
A Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is an advantage, especially for corporate or commercial law.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role, preferably in a corporate setting or law firm.
Previous experience in the UAE legal environment or working with multinational companies is preferred.
Skills:
Strong understanding of UAE laws and legal procedures.
Proficiency in legal research and use of legal databases.
Excellent drafting and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal document management software.
