We are seeking a dynamic legal associate to join our thriving team. As a key player, you will be reporting directly to the firm's managing partner. You will facilitate our clients through comprehensive legal research, opinion writing, and reviewing and drafting corporate and commercial legal documents.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing and drafting corporate agreements for M&A and JV transactions, including share purchase and shareholders agreements, articles of association etc.
• Reviewing and drafting commercial agreements such as franchise, commercial agency and distribution agreements; consultancy agreements, and purchase agreements.
• Legal research and analysis of regional and international laws and regulations.
• Communicating effectively with clients and providing clear, solution-oriented advice.
• Staying updated with international trade regulations and sanctions.
• Advising clients on corporate governance matters, carrying out due diligence and leading corporate governance reform for client companies.
• Contributing to AL’s social media presence, including but not limited to, providing online legal updates on the firm’s website and LinkedIn page.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent) from an accredited law school preferably in the UK or Jordan.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, focused on corporate-commercial laws.
• In-house experience is an added advantage.
• Strong corporate-commercial law experience.
