Legal Counsel

Description:

Client is looking for a Legal Counsel to support real estate transactions and fit-out construction projects across APAC and EMEA during a critical business transition period. This role is essential in ensuring continuity, cost-effective legal support, and successful execution of key real estate projects across regions including India, Japan, the Philippines, and EMEA markets.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day legal support on lease transactions and fit-out construction projects
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases and construction contracts
• Advise on lease execution and registration requirements across jurisdictions
• Manage and coordinate with external counsel as needed
• Act as the primary legal contact for Places and CBRE teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Finance, and other stakeholders
• Drive process improvements and knowledge sharing within the legal team
• Provide coverage in the absence of internal legal leads (e.g., sabbaticals)

🔹 Requirements:

✅ Minimum 3+ years of experience in real estate law (APAC and/or EMEA focus)

✅ Expertise in lease and construction contracts

✅ Proven experience liaising with external counsel and internal business teams

✅ Ability to navigate commercial and legal priorities

✅ Fluent in English; regional language skills a plus

✅ Familiarity with lease registration processes in India/Southeast Asia is a bonus
