Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Light Duty Driver / Chargehand to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this dual role, you will be responsible for safely transporting workers and materials to job sites while also overseeing clean-up operations and supervising a team of workers.
- Transport workers and materials to job sites safely and efficiently
- Oversee and coordinate clean-up operations at various work locations
- Lead and supervise a team of workers, providing guidance and resolving on-site issues
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Inspect and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment for safety and proper functioning
- Place warning signs, cones, and road closures as required
- Perform hands-on work as needed to support team objectives
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a light duty driver with 5 years experience in UAE
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws in Dubai
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and equipment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle and equipment inspection
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
