Description:
Ramah General Contracting & Transport LLC (RGCT) is seeking an experienced Logistics Accountant to join its growing team immediately. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with a strong background in logistics and construction who can efficiently manage financial activities related to transportation, inventory, and operational costs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling logistics accounting functions, monitoring inventory-related transactions, supporting month-end financial processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor accounting transactions related to transportation, freight, fuel, equipment, and logistics operations.
• Verify and process supplier invoices, delivery notes, and logistics service bills accurately and within required timelines.
• Prepare purchase orders, maintain goods receipt records, and reconcile logistics expenses with supporting documentation.
• Monitor inventory movements and coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain records of fleet operating expenses, fuel usage, and equipment utilization.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting related to logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience, preferably within the logistics, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory accounting, and logistics cost management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Focus, or similar accounting software.
• Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
• Immediate availability to join is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
• ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Focus, or Similar)
• Inventory Accounting and Logistics Cost Control
• Microsoft Excel, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting
