Hiring Marketing Strategy Manager

Job Purpose

Drive the progress of marketing projects throughout the organization from initiation through delivery – effectively coordinate resources, schedules and project deliverables all while ensuring alignment with cross-functional team and all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in shaping projects, including project definitions and collation of business case – project scope, ownership, project sponsors, and alignment with other programmers.
  • Develop and maintain realistic project plans, GANTT charts, and define RASCI matrix while identifying key stakeholders, deadlines, dependencies and budgets.
  • Enable on-time and within-budget planning and execution of marketing initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on marketing initiatives
  • Align go-live for multi-channel campaigns
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Establish and communicate project strategy, deliverables and priorities to cross –functional stakeholders (internal, external and global) to gain their support and required resources
  • Oversee a variety of tasks with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain continuous dialogue with stakeholders to keep them updated with overall project status and resource requirements
  • Advance the project by identifying project blockers and enabling resolution, including approvals
  • Proactively develop, implement, monitor and socialise new and/or existing processes to improve cross functional alignment, effectiveness and decision making
  • Ensure best practices are followed in delivering the project
  • Maintain an updated, live project tracker with access to all team members

Job Description:

  • Be responsible for involving cross-functional team members or senior management at adequate times during the project management lifecycle
  • Manage procurement of required resources
  • Operate measures and controls to report project progress
  • Think creatively to provide innovative solutions
  • Post launch, clearly define post sustained activities and responsibilities
  • Work flexibly to achieve results, taking a very hands-on approach, providing the impetus and focus for each project.
  • Produce documentation, milestone reports for governance, and closure reports
  • Report business benefits and project ROI
