Immediate Hiring: Mechanical Estimation Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term
Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers and Proposal managers to determine the scope of work.
- Review and interpret technical specification, drawings and schematics.
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Submits RFQ to Vendor and get quotation for deference mechanical equipment / components.
- Prepare TBE, Evaluate and select suitable materials and equipment for projects in cooperation with LDE mechanical and proposal leader.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals for mechanical projects.
- Monitor and report on project progress and any deviations from the plan.
- Provide support during project implementation to ensure estimated costs are adhered to.
Mechanical Estimator Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the Oil & Gas and construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Strong negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical estimating.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
