THE MEP DESIGN LEAD - DATA CENTRES ROLE

As part of this global consultants strategic growth plans, a unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and technically gifted Mechanical/Electrical Building Services Design Engineer at Principal Engineer Level and above with a proven background in MEP Building services Design for data centre / critical systems (mission critical) projects. You will join an industry leading global MEP Design team in my clients vibrant & growing Dubai office.

This role will suit an MEP Building services Design leader with natural gravitas and the ability to inspire others. You will be a natural communicator with strong technical MEP Design skills & a strong ambition to provide solutions to global clients.

Client facing skills, excellent leadership capabilities and resource management skills are essential to succeed in this unique, yet challenging role.

Global design delivery is part of my clients solutions, which will see you work with some of the most technically gifted data centre MEP Design experts across the globe, sharing resources, solutions and ideas, so it goes without saying, a collaborative, solution focused mindset is essential

MEP DESIGN LEAD - DATA CENTRES REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Along with the above mentioned skills and experience, a degree in electrical / building services engineering is essential. Additionally:

• You will come from an Electrical / Mechanical building services design background gained in engineering consultancies.
• Resource management experience is critical in this position as you will be managing the design delivery for multiple projects throughout the region & potentially globe
• Superb client facing and client management skills are absolutely essential
• Possess a proven, stable and consistent track record in delivering highly technical MEP Design projects within APAC, MENA or Europe in the data centre sector
• The ability to stimulate work regionally through new and existing clients
• Awareness of data centre technical design & Uptime Institute Tiers
• ATD - Uptime Institute or similar data centre design related qualifications
