Mep Estimation Engineer

Description:

The MEP Estimation Engineer prepares accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQs) for MEP projects, coordinating closely with design, procurement, and project management teams. The role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of MEP systems and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs for MEP projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate estimates.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor budgets, track costs, and provide recommendations to optimize project expenditure.
• Assist in tender submissions, vendor quotations, and subcontractor evaluations.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of experience in MEP estimation and cost analysis in UAE projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, labor rates, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Certifications: Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field; MEP Estimation or Quantity Surveying certification is an advantage.
